The Pee Wee class focuses on developing and improving various physical and mental skills. Classes consist of dynamic movement and martial art drills that increase strength, awareness, flexibility, balance, and coordination. At this level, we focus on instilling principles of discipline, focus and respect through an increasingly structured and formalized curriculum and class structure. Pee Wee students begin their martial arts journey with Kempo Karate, which forms a strong foundation for kicks, punches, and blocks. This foundation provides an excellent base for our martial arts system, preparing them for the more intricate and challenging Junior curriculum.
The Pee Wee curriculum is the Junior/Adult White belt curriculum broken down into 4 belts. Students measure their progress via our stripe system, which divides each ranking into four stages, or stripes. Within each belt ranking, students must earn 4 black stripes before testing into the next color stripe. When a student is ready to move to the Junior Program (by age/stage) that student will test for their Junior Yellow belt skipping the Junior White Belt level.

Pee Wees must take at least two classes a week in order for them to retain their material and move up in the ranks. It is also very important that students practice what they are taught in class. We do not “chase the belt” here at Twin Dragon. The instructors constantly tell the students “Don’t chase the belt. When you gain the knowledge, the belt will come to you”.
